Twitter is a terrific way to connect with others, but it is essential for parents to explore Twitter and learn about it before allowing their children to use this social network. Children should ALWAYS be monitored when using any social networking site and they should be AT LEAST 13 years old before creating their own account. Whether you choose to use Twitter in your house or not, it is a good idea to become familiar with Twitter so that you can talk with your child if he or she has questions.
